Founded in 1955, only a decade after the creation of the United Nations, Harvard National ModelUnited Nations (HNMUN) is the largest, oldest, and most prestigious conference of its kind. Staffed entirely by Harvard College undergraduates, HNMUN brings over 3,000 students and faculty together from colleges and universities around the world to simulate the activities of the United Nations. HNMUN offers a unique opportunity to experience the challenges of international negotiation and diplomacy.

In February 2011 the first ever delegation from NSIT took part in this international MUN and despite the lack of experience at this level managed to impress one and all, making it to the top 20 MUN Delegations in the world !
The selection process for HNMUN 2012 has already begun under the watch of DEBSOC or debating society of NSIT.
This year, the conference will take this tradition to a new level with numerous innovations designed to enhance the delegate experience. This session will be held at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel from Thursday, February 16, through Sunday, February 19, 2012.
